The low friction characteristics of Zirconium Nitride (ZrN) and the high hardness of Titanium Aluminium Nitride (TiAlN) are combined in this nano layered coating to give excellent wear resistance when machining non-ferrous materials, in particular, difficult to machine titanium aerospace alloys. Zenit coating has also shown to provide improved tool performance when machining stainless steel.
