The monolayer Titanium Nitride coating, S coating, TiN coating, is standard for HSS and carbide cutting tools. Used for drilling, tapping and milling operations. Nevertheless, most application is steel machining.
S Coating is well proven, cost efficient all-round coating. Generally achieving performance increases. Surpassed in certain cases only by A-, C- and F-coatings.
